So I've been out and about this weekend, watched a couple of films as well, so afraid no development on the game.
However I decided to take some time sourcing images to give me some ideas of what models I'll be using. I've had to organise a lot of photos already from TPoC days, but I think I've just doubled my image library for more specific model photos over night!
I thought I'd share a couple of tips on mass image saving as well, since a lot of what I found where hosted on third party image sites, meaning I can't use DownThemAll to one click download all image links. I managed to find another Firefox extension called "Save Images", which has a nice feature of saving images on webpages based on some filters you apply (minimum dimension, file type, size, even regular expressions). One of the most brilliant feature is saving images from all tabs, or in my case save images from all tabs to right.
Essentially my workflow is now, come across an image, use Google Image search to reverse search for sources. Find a gallery of pictures with third party image hosts, select and batch open links in new tabs, save images to right and I'm done.
Obviously there're picture boards as well where I can just search by model name.
All the freeloading though had made me feel a tiny bit guilty, so I actually paid for a year long subscription to MetArt which has some pretty nice sets. I can't afford to pay for X-Art as well which is another of my favourite.

Nice set. If I remember right Ulya is the protagonist in Etranz. Even using that very image of hers for the player portrait image. Etranz makeover may hit the crowd soon, so maybe not use her for a major character? We will have to wait and see anyways if the new Etranz version comes at all, and it´s entirely your decision. Just wanted to mention it.

Very good point. I actually discovered Ulya through Entranz, one of the hottest RAGS games I've ever played.
DeleteHadn't occured to me that Entranz is due a new release actually... I'm asking Weirdo if he'd be happy for a semi-crossover, if not then indeed I'd keep her minor. Plenty more models to choose from even if I have a soft spot for her ;)
If you look at the thread in the forum he was like beta testing the new release recently. I only mentioned it cause some authors might to avoid using the same models for major characters like in another actual game. If a game is old enough I would not have a problem with it. Like Faye Reagan was once the player model for the game Hexeturm and enough time has pasted in my opinion that one could use her again.
DeleteOr Bianca Beauchamp is one of those borderline characters that everyone would like to use. :P She is featured in many caps and also in some games, even as a player char in Submission Spa and Resort, but that is so old and I seriously doubt we will ever see a finished version, that she would be "free" again too.
However. Malena Morgan is the model used for the Malena character in TotDC. Just so you know.^^
At the end you must know yourself which models you want to use, I personally would not have a problem with any of these. Just if another game uses them recently choose different images then those or so...
